BOHEMIAN DREAMIN'
I have always loved the materials, colors, and symbolism of Dream Catchers. This season, I designed a Bohemian inspired holiday collection. A Dream Catcher seemed to be the prefect muse for the collection using gorgeous gold letterpress, hand painted feathers, lots of wood grains, beads, and leather! This concept would also translate beautifully for any special occasion: weddings, birthdays, New Year's, etc.... Contact Figmint Design to order your custom designed Bohemian collection for your next event! The Holiday Dream Catcher Collection is available at Lilla Bello Studio and on Etsy.

WINTER MINT HOLIDAYS
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season so far! We just wanted to send out a warm thank you to all that came out to see Figmint Design and our holiday collection & collaboration with Lilla Bello Studio during the "30 Open Doors" art walk last week. We will be posting pictures of the event soon, so stay tuned.
Our Letterpress Ornament Cards seemed to be a popular choice among of our limited edition holiday designs. Letterpress printed in Metallic Gold or Metallic Silver ink on heavy archival paper, these cards double as a beautiful keepsake ornament. They are tied with jute twine and the envelopes are lined with hand marbled paper. Sold individually or in a beautifully wrapped Set of 4 (as seen in above photo). If you have any last minute gift giving to do, we still have a few left....but hurry! You can purchase them at Lilla Bello Studio in Bergamot Station or through our Figmint Design Etsy Shop. Send us photos of your Ornament Card hanging proudly on your tree and we will post it on our Facebook page and on Twitter!

We are pleased to announce that Figmint Design is now sharing gallery space with Lilla Bello Studio’s fine floral boutique, at Santa Monica’s legendary art complex Bergamot Station. Lilla Bello is a boutique fine floral design firm, dedicated to the highest quality, innovative concepts and lush designs. Together, they form a synergy of event styling expertise that is customized to your exact vision and sentiment.
“I knew when I created this space that it was always going to embrace more than just my own
creative team. I saw a dance happening here; a ‘reception’ if you will, of the most talented
event artistry that I know. But more than that, a place where our client feels at ease, guided
and understood.” -Toby Kassoy (founder, Lilla Bello Studio)

Lulu Loves...
Sometimes you just come across a business that you really feel good about supporting and you feel the need to share it. This is not a sponsored post by the way...it's just a way of saying kudos to the ladies at Blueblood for following their passion.
When we got our little Staffordshire Bull Terrier "Lulu" a few years ago, we instantly fell in love with her playful energy, big smile, and buff little body. Her big wet kisses and spotted tummy made her hard to resist. I have to admit she is rather spoiled. So, when we went searching for a collar that would be as awesome as Lulu, we had a hard time finding something we loved. Then we found Blueblood. The owners, Tina & Alexis have a great eye for design and big love for pups...and it shows! Their selection of updated graphic prints on their collars, bedding, and bags is wonderful.
If you and your pup love fashion, check out Blueblood and see for yourself. It's no secret that we (as well as our Figmint Design friends) are dog lovers. For more couture dog inspired graphic goodness check out our custom Regal Beagle wedding suite and our custom Haute Dog puppy announcements.

WELL RED
I came across these beautiful images by Rebecca Miller and I just had to share. Industrial street smarts meet vintage book smarts. I'm loving the pops of Red against the aged surfaces of concrete, stone, and wood.

ORIENT EXPRESS
How much of a stunner is this editorial photographed by Nicole Bentley for Vogue Australia? The soft draping fabrics paired with dripping jewels and a taste of Asian influence is delicious!

TEA PARTY
Let me begin by saying that this post has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with inspiration. When I walked into Rolling Greens the other day I was enamored by this stunning art installation of tea bags. Yes, tea bags! I know, it may sound odd, but it was so beautiful that I had to write about it. A large hanging display covering an entire wall and dripping with teabags in shades of yellow, orange, brown, pink all blending together to create an ombre type of effect. Whether you are into tea or not, I think anyone can appreciate the creativity in this display. It even made me (a die hard coffee drinker) want to throw a tea party! Oh, and their selection of containers, plants and decor was amazing too...check it out if you get a chance.

SPICY SEPTEMBER
It's time to welcome yet another new month. Time sure is flying! September usually manages to bring the heat even though some leaves are beginning to fall. You know what that means, right? It's time to think about how you're going to spice up your Fall wardrobe and welcome a new season. Fall colors remind me of exotic spices in warm shades of red, orange, brown, and gold. Do you like it spicy? I do.

WING IT
Birds, branches, wings, feathers, and anything that symbolizes flight is always beautiful to me. I love how something as delicate as a bird can be so powerful in it's ability to fly, sing, and provide for its young. Bring some yellows, blues, and grays into your wardrobe or your home to remind you of a canary or a dove flying in the blue sky.

GREEN PIECE
I have always been drawn to Green and Brown, especially paired together. Having a piece of Green in a room or on your body seems to bring a sense of fresh, calm energy into everything. Whether it is in shades of Jade, Kelly, Celadon, or Sage, it always reminds me that I need to spend more time outdoors enjoying nature. Accents of Brown and wood add to the organic feel.

GLAMOROUS BEATCH
With temperatures forecasted to hit over 100 in the city this weekend, I think it's time to hit the beach. Contrary to what the following photos would lead you to believe, I will not be frolicking in the sand in my stilettos and glam make-up. We'll leave that to the supermodels. In any case I thought this photo shoot by Camilla Akrans for Harper's Bazaar UK was too hot to pass up, so I had to share it. Happy Friday!
